外围体育投注Hi everyone, I'm here again posting a non-Patch Post for my biannual feedback that I like to create for SAR to help make the game a better game for everyone. This time I'm going to be going over player retention, alternate game modes, and gun balance.
Just a little bit of info about me before I get started. I've worked in the video game industry for 12 years with a background in marketing and management, and also played at a competitive/tournament level of multiple genres of games for 20+ years; some of these games include: Warcraft 2, Halo 1 & 2, Heroes of the Storm and more. I also do that stream thing and run 1v1 Tournaments for SAR.
- Player Retention -
外围体育投注First thing I'm going to talk about is player retention which seems to be a giant issue with the game. Most people that pick up this game play it for 2-3 hrs and then leave. While it's nice to grab someones impulse buy it's horrible to have a multiplayer only game be like this. So these are a couple of things I'd like to recommend to help grab and retain players. These aren't in any particular order as a do this now vs do this later, but overall suggestions that I think should be implemented to flesh out the SAR experience.
1.) Battle Pass -外围体育投注 I know that people hate these things, but they go a long way at making people feel connected to the game and feel obligated to play. It rewards the active players to continue playing and also shows new users that the game is getting a continuous stream of content. This also aids the developers by giving them an income to maybe hire additional employees to either work on engine related stuff or art content. This content could be Skins, Bonus EXP ect.
2.) Monthly Seasons - This kinda ties into the Battle Pass, but having seasonal content outside of the events would also make people want to come back and play more. Maybe it's a special skin, outfit that's only out during that season, or maybe it's an animal color ect. You don't have to keep these locked as limited edition items and can release them at a later time.
3.) Official SAR Sponsored Tournament or Events - These hype the game outside of the regular matches and from my own personal experience in playing in Tournaments and hosting them it makes people want to play the game more. You don't have to say spend cash money on this, but having special Tournament or Event only items made with art assets (yes, I know this still costs money/time create) to help promote the events and make them a unique experience.
4.) Twitch Integration - People that watch a game want to play the game more often, but if you add Twitch Drops this would also make people watch the game more often. Drops can be like Green/Blue items, SAR Super Content Creator Streamer Items, Jug Super Serum, ect. Also having an in client twitch browser showing who's on or Super Content Creators currently playing would also be great. Could also have players in game also have an icon next to their name showing their live (TTV btw) to promote without spamming chat self promoting.
5.) Twitch Integration part 2 -外围体育投注 Uhh so another thing Super Content Creators ? You guys seem to have this role, but for some reason none of them play. I understand you wish to keep it an elite club, but the lack of these promoters seems kinda strange. These are usually your most diehard players that constantly play everyday and freely promote the game to new players and their communities. The lack of these people being active is weird, and in my opinion they are a valuable resource to the games marketing/promoting and player retention.
6.) Update Information -外围体育投注 While the updates have been rather constant, it would be nice to get some pipeline every once in awhile so players are informed in what's to come. This builds hype behind certain things players are looking forward too. Like... scalies LUL
Apparently there was a SAR art contest, and a live event. And nowhere was it pinned or highlighted on reddit.
Wish they would just ditch Reddit already as they never appear to think of it when trying to reach out.
